My Sport

The sport i enjoy most is netball. The position i usually took on was the centre. I enjoyed taking part in netball as its a competitive game and had alot of fitness demands. Being the centre it meant i had to have alot of cardiovascular as i would need to be able to last the full duration of the game without becoming fatique. I also had to have a high level of speed, with playing an important role i needed to be able to support my other team members, creating space within the court allowing steady passes. I only took part in school times but with their being alot competitive people in my physical education class, we enjoyed playing it on a regular basis.

Cooper Test

The cooper test is a 12 minute constant run which you can do at your own pace , walking if you feel you can't run anymore. The total distance that you run is then recorded and calculated. Your score is then compared to a V02 max table and tells you if are excellent, above average, average, below average or poor.
The test took place outside the college, with markers set out 12metres apart to form 230metres but it didn't really work out because due to them being 12metres apart the calculations were to difficult whereas if it was 10metre apart it would be a more simple calculation.
